The Greencore Trainee Manager Programme is an apprenticeship plan designed to help you reach the top. You’ll be working in a market leading, fast growing and dynamic organisation earning a competitive salary, with the potential to reach a senior manager position in four years.
In partnership with Nottingham Trent University, this 4 year’s degree programme will allow your studies to be aligned to real work, so you will earn as you learn and will not accumulate university debt.
We offer 3 programmes within our Operations, Commercial and Technical career pathways. To participate in the programme, you will need to provide evidence of Level 2 Qualification in Maths & English (equivalent to GCSE). If you don’t have this evidence, don’t worry – we will be able to put you through an assessment to establish your attainment level, later on in the process!
We are looking for school/college leavers with a minimum of 120 UCAS points, and people who have been out the in the world of work already and are looking to re-start their career.
The programme starts in September 2020 and assessment centres will be from February 2020.

Your first step will be the below roles across the function you have chosen in the programme. After successful completion of each stage, you will be given exposure to the next level of each department and responsibilities will change as you move forward.
Front Line Leader: Responsible for coordinating a group of colleagues and managing the consistent application of processes within a given area/line to ensure products are prepared/manufactured to the agreed standards and production plans.
Commercial (Sales & Category)
Account Executive: This is a key support role for our Business Account Managers in day-to-day management of our customer accounts, and helping us to assure the delivery of sustained profitable growth for a specific customer base.
Category Executive/Analyst: You’ll collate and analyse customer and consumer data into reports which inform how we generate actionable insight, as well as how we will execute marketing initiatives, as well as supporting the wider marketing team.
Specification Technologists: Responsible for ensuring that all customer specifications, pack copies and artwork are accurately set up and key customer documentation is produced in line with critical path timescales and launch deadlines.
Quality Assurance Auditors: You will verify that raw material preparation, manufacturing production and product storage / distribution is compliant with food safety, legal and customers’ quality standards.
Process Technologists: Carrying out all relevant manufacturing projects in order to deliver process development and line trials successfully.
